In this privacy policy, we would like to inform you about how we handle your personal data. Naturally, we handle your data with care, process no more information than necessary, and always do so fully in accordance with the AVG (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR).

Personal data we process
We mainly process personal data that you have provided to us yourself. This means you are fully aware of which information we hold.
To execute our agreement and deliver our products and/or services to you, we require certain personal data. Without this information, we are unable to deliver. Therefore, it is necessary that you provide these details on time and verify that they are correct. This processing of your personal data is essential for us to fulfill the agreement.

The data we process includes:

- First and last name
- Address
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Username and password

Rest assured — we do not create profiles based on your personal data, nor will we ever make automated decisions about you without human involvement.

What we do with your personal data
We only process your personal data when necessary to achieve a legitimate purpose and when we have a valid legal basis for doing so.

We process your personal data for one or more of the following purposes:

With your consent, to send you our newsletter. Once you have withdrawn your consent, you will no longer receive newsletters. We delete your data from our newsletter list within 30 days. We may also send you service emails to fulfill our agreement or for legitimate interest. We retain your data for this purpose as long as needed and delete it within 90 days thereafter.

When you contact us, we need some of your personal data in order to respond. We process these details under our legitimate interest and delete them within two years after the last contact.

When you request a quotation, we use the information you provide to send it to you. If you do not enter into an agreement and we have no further contact, we delete your data within two years.

To fulfill our agreement (delivering products or services), we process several details for the duration of the agreement and up to a maximum of five years thereafter.

After you purchase a product or service, we issue an invoice that includes some personal data. We are legally required to retain these records for at least seven fiscal years.

You may have an account with us, which you can partly manage yourself. This account is usually necessary to fulfill an agreement, or you have given consent, or we process your data based on legitimate interest. Some details you can delete yourself; once deleted, we no longer process them for your account. In general, we store account data for up to five years after the end of the related agreement or after the account has been deleted—whichever is later.

Based on legitimate interest, we may occasionally send you offers or other direct marketing. You may object to this at any time. We will not process your personal data for this purpose longer than five years.

We also like to show examples of our work and clients in our portfolio, on our website, social media, and other promotional channels. This is processed under our legitimate interest.

Consent

For some purposes, we ask for your explicit consent first. You may withdraw this consent at any time by sending an email to hello@teskatheodore.com. Processing of your personal data remains lawful until we receive your email.

Legitimate interest

In many cases, we have a legitimate interest in processing your personal data. This means we have carefully weighed your privacy interest against our own (usually commercial) interests. We only process your data when it is necessary for pursuing that interest. We make this assessment for each purpose, following the interpretation standards of the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Parties receiving your data
We regularly need external help for our business operations. Therefore, we engage the following processors:
- Website, app, learning environment, or platform hosting
- Email and newsletter hosting
- Payment and collection services
- Delivery services

Our processors and third parties must adequately safeguard your privacy.
Whenever possible, we choose processors and third parties established within the EU/EEA or other countries approved as adequate under the AVG (GDPR). This is not always possible; in such cases, our data processing agreements include appropriate additional safeguards.

Your rights

That we may process your personal data under this privacy policy does not mean you lose control over it. Below we briefly explain your rights and how to exercise them.

Withdraw consent

If we process your data based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing hello@teskatheodore.com.

Access, rectification, deletion, or restriction

You may request access to the data we process, request corrections, or ask for deletion/restriction if you believe we no longer need it. Such requests can be submitted easily via email to hello@teskatheodore.com.

Object

You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data. Please email your objections and reasoning to hello@teskatheodore.com. We will review your objection and confirm receipt via the same email address.

Data portability

If you decide to use another service provider, we are obliged to supply your data electronically in a format that allows easy transfer. You can request this by emailing hello@teskatheodore.com.

Complaints

If you have any complaints about how we handle your data, please contact us first via hello@teskatheodore.com. We will do our best to resolve your complaint as quickly and reasonably as possible.
If you are not satisfied with our response or prefer not to contact us, you always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
